It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James C. Dufford II of Spring Lake, Michigan, who passed away on March 1, 2026, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Hall and Jeanne Hall. He is survived by: his wife Deanne; his children, Adam Dufford (Eva) of Grand Rapids, Alisha Dufford Latson of Grand Haven, Ben Dufford (Kerry) of Caledonia, John Kaminski (Chelsea) of Nunica, Matt Kaminski of Spring Lake and Alex Kaminski (Rachael) of Grand Haven; his grandchildren, Traven, Remi, Charlee Dufford, Johnny, Jayce, Ezrah Kaminski, Annika, Aaron Roy and Torina Tappero; his siblings, Greg Dufford (Julie) of Colorado Springs, CO, Cathy Scarborough (Bob) of Cadillac, Sue Adams (Chip) of Stewart, FL, Becky Marcinkus (Rick) of Mancelona, Todd Dufford (Stephanie) of Byron Center and Glenda Neymeiyer (Mark) of Allendale; his mother-in-law Carol Heffington; and his close friend Tessa Tappero. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations go toward the fulfillment of Jim's final wish: to have a bench made in his honor and placed at Lakeside Beach or along the bike path in Spring Lake.
