He was predeceased by: his parents, Nyle Eggert and Viola Eggert (Matthews); his brother Richard Eggert; and his son Paul Eggert, II. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Bette" Straus-Eggert; his children, Amy Simmons (Chuck), Josh Eggert (Helen), Chris Eggert (Jennifer), Richard Straus (O'ting), Eric Straus (Charlotte) and Bill Straus (Chris); and the mother of his children Val Eggert. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
