He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Japenga and Doris Japenga (Beatty); his daughter Trisha Japenga; and his sister Kay Beecham. He is survived by: his wife Bunny; his daughters, Tamra, Jodi and Erin Japenga (Don West); and his grandchildren, Robert Dawson (Kate), Samantha Purdy (Kris), Hailey Bryant (Jalen), Brittany Abbott (Tyler), Kyiah Masko, Rylan Masko, Jessalyn West and Chloe Taylor (Trenton). He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's United Church of Christ (1401 S Griffin St, Grand Haven, MI 49417).
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Paul's United Church of Christ.
