He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Nowery and Beulah Nowery (Finch). He is survived by: his wife Dee Nowery; his sons, Kirk Nowery of Davisburg, Chad Nowery (Crystal) of Onondaga and Brett Nowery (Lisa) of Spring Arbor, Michigan; his brother Larry Nowery (Sharon) of Powhatan, Virginia; and his grandchildren, Morgan, Nickolas, Bella, Logan and Lilli-Isla Nowery. He is also survived by nieces and one nephew, along with many extended family members and dear friends.
