He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Minix and Icie Minix (Rowe); and his siblings, Alvis Minix, Lester Minix, Hager Minix, Harold Minix, Donald Minix, Joyce Davis, Helen Mulholland and Doris Ann Davis.
He is survived by: his children, Rhonda Hummel (Derek) of Rochester, Doyletta Minix of Dallas and Andrew Minix (Trisha) of Albion, Michigan.; his grandchildren, Keith Hummel (Kaleigh), Brittany Hummel (Brendan), Wyatt Minix (Briana), Urban Padilla and Elijah Padilla; his wife Marcella Scutchfield; and his sisters, Iris Manns of Knox and Charlotte Jackson of Salyersville, Kentucky. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Freewill Baptist Church.
