He was predeceased by: his parents, William Roy and Essa Mae Butler (Slocum); his sons, Mike Butler and Jeffrey Spradlin; and his daughter-in-law Shelley Butler.
He is survived by: his wife Lillian Butler; and his son Mark Butler. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home (811 Finley Dr, Albion, MI 49224). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Albion Memory Gardens (26905 B-Drive S, Albion, MI 49224).
