Clifford L. Cousineau, lovingly known as "Cliff" age 62, of Standish, Michigan, passed away on July 30, 2026, in Standish, Michigan.
Cliff was born on December 21, 1963, in Standish, Michigan, and lived his life with the kind of strength, humor, and heart that left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He was a loving, courageous, and funny man who brought warmth and steadiness to his family and friends. Cliff was the kind of person who could be counted on in any situation, and his presence made the lives of those around him better. He will be remembered for his easy smile, his hardworking nature, and the genuine way he cared for the people and animals he loved.
Cliff graduated from Standish Sterling High School and went on to build a life rooted in hard work and dedication. He worked as a truck driver for the Forwards Corporation in Standish, where he was known for his dependable work ethic and commitment to doing the job right. Cliff took pride in his work and understood the value of showing up, working hard, and taking responsibility. His career reflected the same steady character that guided him throughout his life.
On July 3, 1993, Cliff married Dawn Miller, and together they shared a life built on love, loyalty, and family. Their marriage was a source of strength and companionship, and Cliff cherished his role as husband and father. He is survived by his wife, Dawn, and his son, Toney, who were among the greatest blessings in his life. He is also survived by his brothers Lester and Dan; his sister Sally; his brother-in-law's Steve and Tom; and his sister-in-law's Julie, Debbie, and Kelly. Cliff was preceded in death by his parents, his father and mother in-law, brothers, aunts, and uncles, all of whom he held close in his heart.
Cliff enjoyed life's simple pleasures and found happiness in the things that brought him peace and excitement. He loved deer and turkey hunting in Glennie, camping, watching Lions football, following NASCAR, and riding four-wheelers. These interests gave him time to enjoy the outdoors, share memories with others, and make the most of the moments that mattered. Cliff also had a special love for his dog, Browning, who was a faithful companion and brought him great joy. Whether he was spending time outside or relaxing with his favorite pastimes, Cliff lived with a spirit of appreciation and enjoyment.
Those who knew Cliff will remember him as a man with a big heart and a quick wit. He had a way of making people laugh and putting them at ease, even in difficult times. His courage showed in the way he faced life's challenges, and his love was evident in the care he gave to his family and friends. Cliff's legacy is one of devotion, resilience, and kindness. He leaves behind cherished memories that will continue to comfort those who loved him.
Cliff's life was a testament to the values of family, hard work, and loyalty. He was deeply rooted in the community of Standish, where he was born, lived, worked, and ultimately passed away. Funeral Service will be held on Monday August 3, 2026, at 7:00pm at the Lee Ramsay Funeral Home Standish Chapel. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the Lee Ramsay Funeral Home at 3:00pm until the time of service.
