Darrell W. Burns (Fats) of Standish, Mi. Age 52 passed away Friday, May 29th, 2026, suddenly at his home. He was born in Flint, Mi., to Darrell & Joyce Burns (Badour) on December 31st, 1973. Darrell enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and his special sport disc golf. He loved spending time with his family especially his grandkids.
He is survived by the love of his life his wife, Tressa (Heska) Burns of 24 years. His mother Joyce and stepdad Michael Davis, mother-in-law Norma Jean Heska, his daughters Amanda (Cade) McKnight, MacKenzie Oliver (Travis), Katelyn Day and son Kyle (Marina) Decraene, grandchildren Arianna (Calob), Emmalee, and Kaylynn, and also his pride and joy great grandson Carter Joseph. His siblings Robert (Sarah) Badour, Cheryl Burns, Tommy (Alexis) Lokken, and Timmy Burns. His sisters-in-law, Sue (Dan) Heska, his favorite sister-in-law Terrie Heska, and Helen (T.J) Ecker brother-in-law Joe (Jess) Heska, his nieces and nephews, Cody, Casey, A.J., Brooklynn, Cole, Brett, Kylynn, Brea, and Alysa (Little BIll). His great nephews and niece Jordan, Jah 'Von, Tucker Lee and Alayiah. His best friend Tim (Dad) and Annie Greenway. His extended family disc golf group. Many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He is proceeded in death by his father, Darrell J. Burns, his grandparents James and Alberta Badour and his father-in-law Clarence Joseph Heska, Sr. Memorial service will be held on Friday, June 5th at 5:00 PM at Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home Standish with Mr. Brent Basner presiding. Family will greet friends starting at 2:00 PM until time of service.
