Gay Lynn Cardinal Obituary
Gay Lynn Cardinal, age 79, passed away on April 7, 2026, surrounded by her family. Gay was born on April 6, 1947, to Louis and Sherrell (Turner) Pataky.
She was employed by the State Bank of Standish for many years, was a valued member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and loved attending summer concerts in Standish and AuGres.
Above all she cherished spending time with her family and was lovingly known as Crazy Gram.
Gay is survived by her children Brian (Lori) Davis and Jennifer Carrier; grandchildren, Katie (Jake) Waterman, Samantha (Ryan) Schmidt, Jordan (Christopher) Holka, Nick (Skylar) Davis, and Jasmine (Garrett) Laudenslager and great grandchildren; Raiden, Wilson, and Larkyn Schmidt, Theodore and Bonnie Holka, and Adilee Davis. She will also be missed by her sister Wendy (David) Brueckner, brother Roger (Nancy) Pataky, and her nieces and nephew.
Gay was preceded in death by her husband James Cardinal and her parents Louis and Sherrell Pataky.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday April 11, 2026, at 11:00AM at the Lee Ramsay Funeral Home Standish with Pastor Matthew Dent presiding with burial at Sterling Twp Cemetery to follow. Family will greet friends on Friday April 10, 2026, from 2:00pm until 8:00pm and on Saturday April 11, 2026, from 10:00am until the start of service.
