It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hildegard Carruthers (Standish, Michigan), who passed away on April 8, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husband Ray "Buck" Carruthers. She is survived by : her children, Joe Carruthers of Standish, Kathy Early (Dennis) of Waterford and Jess Carruthers (Diane) of Swartz Creek; her grandchildren, Courtney Carruthers of Hawaii, Kathryn Payne (Andrew) of Grand Rapids, Denny Early (Adrienne) of Waterford, Jessica Jackson (Chris) of Waterford, Ray Carruthers (Aryelle) and Kara Carruthers of Swartz Creek; her great grandchildren, Dominick, Annalise and Gwendolyn Early; her sisters-in-law, Phyllis Mitgutsch, Jean Capp and Katherine Kline; and her pet Bunny.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 13th 2021 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Standish Chapel (127 N Forest St, Standish, MI 48658). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 13th 2021 at 1:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, those considering an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Friends of Mary Johnston Library in Standish.
