Joanne M. Wells Obituary

Joanne M. Wells 96, passed away Friday April 17, 2026 at MyMichigan medical Center-Standish following a lengthy illness. She was born in Detroit, Michigan to the late Clarence & Hazel (Ettinger) Johns formerly from Clawson, Michigan.

Joanne's life occupation was a bookkeeper working for several companies, after her retirement she moved to the sterling area. She then became active in various volunteer programs which were her favorite pastime.

She was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary Post 3724 and the American Red Cross, also giving her time to the Standish Long Term care facility and Sunrise Senior Center, Senior Companion Program NEMCSA, and driver for DHS.

Joanne enjoyed traveling, dancing, and having lots of fun.

Joanne is survived by a brother Mel Johns, grandson Brandon and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Wells, parents, sons Steve, Mike, Greg, brothers Robert, Rodney, Daniel Johns; three sisters in laws Joan, Nancy and Donna.

Oh don't forget her beloved companion "Weiner Dog" Puppy of fifteen years.

No services will be held with inurnment in Sterling Cemetery with her family.
