Judy L. Krzysik Obituary
Mrs. Judy Lyn Krzysik (78) passed away peacefully in her home on Monday October 20, 2025.
Judy was born October 3, 1947, in Standish, MI to the late Alfred & Grace (Summers) Bodrie. She graduated from Pinconning High School in 1965. Judy married John Krzysik on June 1, 1974, in Pinconning, MI. John recounts their love of dancing together, sharing, "That's why she fell in love with me.". They had three children together whom Judy loved immensely. While at home raising her children, Judy was devoted to her flower business as she loved gardening, especially her gladiolus flowers. Her children fondly remember her saving up funds one summer to help pay for their pool.
Judy is remembered for her love of Western culture, including cowboys, country music, bull-riding, and horses. As a child, she had a beloved horse named Penny Louise. She always wanted to get another as an adult as well as travel out West to Texas. Judy was also fond of the water, though she did not like to be on it as she could not swim. She would take trips to Tawas with John just to look out at the water.
Judy is survived by her husband of 51 years, John Krzysik; her children: Kevin (Becky) Krzysik, Tamara (Sonny) Luna, and Tiffany (Joe) Bulson; her grandchildren: Caitlyn, Kyle, Tyler, Andrew, Aubrey, Nathan, Riley, and Brayden; siblings: Alfred Bodrie, Annlee (Gerry) Greyerbiehl, Jeannine (LeRoy) Atwater, Bruce (Linda) Bodrie, George Bodrie, Robert Bodrie, and Kellie Bodrie. She is preceded in death by her siblings Janice Dittenbir and Sam Bodrie; sister-in-law Helen Bodrie; granddaughter Amber Bulson; niece Brianna Bodrie; and nephew Scott Atwater.
Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 11:00 am, at Resurrection of the Lord Catholic Church, with Rev. Fr. Thomas Held presiding with burial in St. Agnes cemetery. Friends and family may visit at the church from 10:00 am until time of service.
