Larry Allan Shute Obituary
Larry Allan Shute, age 59, of Standish, Michigan, passed away suddenly on September 19, 2026, in Bay City. He was born on September 11, 1967. He was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend whose life was marked by humor, faith, and a deep love for the people around him.
Larry was born in Bay City and was a proud graduate of Pinconning High School. He carried with him the values of hard work, loyalty, and kindness throughout his life. Those who knew Larry best will remember him as a funny, faith-filled, and loving man who brought warmth and laughter to every room he entered. His quick wit, easy smile, and genuine nature made a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to cross his path.
On December 31, 2023, in Saginaw, Michigan, Larry married his best friend, Jacinda Nickel, and together they shared a bond built on love, friendship, and devotion. Jacinda survives him, along with his children, Brittany, Kiefer, Jessie, and Chance, adored grandchildren, Annabelle Schlink, Bronson, and Scarlett Shute. He also leaves behind his bonus family, Michelle, Danielle and Brian, Jennifer and Luke, and Nicole and Josh, as well as his bonus grandchildren, Nolan, Carter, Garrett, Chole, Ella, Jettson, Langston, and Everett. Larry treasured his family above all else, and he found great joy in time spent together, celebrating life's everyday moments, and surrounding himself with the people he loved most.
He is also survived by his parents, Rodney and Karen Shute, and his in-laws, Richard and Francine Willett. Larry shared a special bond with his brothers, Jerry and Vickie Shute, and Jason (Kelly Krengelski) Richards, and he valued the closeness of family ties throughout his life. He also leaves behind two nephews, Austin and Morgan Shute, and Jordan and Alicia Shute, who will carry forward many cherished memories of their time with him.
Larry was a proud member of the Iron Band Dogs, where he especially enjoyed the friendships, fellowship, and camaraderie that came with being part of the group. He loved golfing, fishing, riding his motorcycle, and camping, and he embraced each of these interests with enthusiasm and a spirit of adventure. Whether he was enjoying the outdoors, spending time with friends, or simply being with family, Larry lived in a way that reflected his appreciation for life and the people in it.
Above all, Larry loved his family and the circle of love that surrounded him. He cherished special friendships and the many connections he made over the years, and he gave his heart freely to those he cared about. His presence brought comfort, laughter, and light, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved him. Though his time on earth has ended, the memories he created and the love he shared will remain forever in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, September 25, 2026, at 7pm from the American Legion Post 104 in Standish, Michigan. Friends may visit at the Legion from 3 pm until time of sharing. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home, Standish Chapel.
