Neil B Frost Obituary

Neil B. Frost, age 76, of Standish, Michigan, passed away on October 17, 2026, at his home with his loving family by his side.

He was born on January 27, 1950, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Robert and Donna (Smith) Frost. Neil lived a life marked by hard work, devotion, and a deep commitment to the people he loved. From an early age, he learned the value of responsibility and perseverance, qualities that would guide him throughout his life and shape the example he set for his family and all who knew him.

Neil married the love of his life, Gloria Phillips, on July 19, 1975, in Auburn, Michigan. Together, they shared a devoted 51 years of marriage filled with love, partnership, and countless memories. Their union was the foundation of a strong and caring family, and Neil took great pride in the life they built together. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, a proud grandfather, and a cherished great-grandfather whose presence brought comfort and strength to those around him.

Surviving besides his wife Gloria are their children, Neil and Lisa Frost, Lisa and Brad Andrews, Brian and LeAnn Frost, and Becky and Jim Badder. He leaves behind several adored grandchildren, Tyler, Aaron, Christian, Devin and his fiancée Korrin, Ace, Jacob, David, Paisley, Brinlee, Bonnie, and Annabelle, as well as two great-granddaughters, Raine. and Emmylou. He is also survived by his loving siblings, Terry and Janet Frost, Daniel and Marsha Frost, and Rose and Mark Phillips. He was predeceased by his brother, Dennis. Neil treasured his family deeply, and the bonds he shared with them were the heart of his life.

Neil was a fourth-generation brick layer, and his work became a source of great pride and identity for him. He began working with his father at the age of 12, learning the trade through hands-on experience and developing the skill, discipline, and work ethic that would define his career. What started as a boyhood lesson became a lifelong profession, and he retired from a career he truly valued. Neil took pride in the craft passed down through generations, and he honored that legacy through his dedication and the quality of his work.

He will be remembered as the handy man to have around, the one family could always count on when a project needed to be done. Whether the task was big or small, Neil was always willing to lend a hand. He found joy in helping his children and grandchildren, and he was happiest when he could be useful to those he loved. His family knew they could always count on dad or grandpa to be there, and that dependable presence was one of the many gifts he gave so freely.

Neil was a dear family man whose greatest joy in life was being together with the people he loved. He especially enjoyed cookouts and the simple pleasure of spending time as a family. Those moments, shared around good food and good company, were among the memories he valued most. His warmth, steady nature, and selfless spirit made him a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend.

A Celebration of Neil's life will be held Thursday, October 29, 2026 at 11 am from the Faith Baptist Church in Standish, Michigan with Pastor Kevin Switzer presiding with inurnment at Woodmere Cemetery at a later date.
