With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Donna Marie Schermerhorn of Stanton, Michigan, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Donna left this world on October 3, 2025 at the age of 95, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her husband Edgar Schermerhorn; her siblings, Janet Bliss, Doris Hevel, Carolyn Stoneham, Dorothy Bliss and LeRoy Frisbey; and her parents, Lawrence Frisbey and Pearl Frisbey (Dunlap).
She is survived by: her children, Edna Keene of Stanton, Lois Jorgensen (Randy) of Williamsburg, Evon Christensen (Mark) of Sidney, Ed Schermerhorn (Kathy) of Stanton and Joe Schermerhorn (Cathy) of Stanton; and her grandchildren, Glen London (Cindy), Brad London (Lisa), Jeff Keene (Meghan), Eddie Schermerhorn, Jeramy Schermerhorn, Kristopher Jorgensen U. S. (Angela), Kirsten Stevens (Victor), Emily Christensen and Hanna Christensen. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Simpson Family Funeral Homes (246 S Main St, Sheridan, MI 48884).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sheridan Community Hospital.
