Elizabeth Dean Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elizabeth Dean of Stanwood, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 7, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Elizabeth leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hilma Vanderhelst (Kasari) and Francis Vanderhelst (Frank); her husband Thomas Eddy Dean; and her brother Peter Vanderhelst. She is survived by: her children, James Douglas Carpenter (Janice), Donald Arthur Carpenter (Charlotte), Mary (Mary Beth), Elizabeth (David Bazner) and Frank Andrew Carpenter (Sue Hartman). She is also survived by Grandmama; and 12 great grandchildren.
In addition, she was also the kids Theatre Camp Registrar from 2008-2024 (with the exception of 2020 due to Covid).
