He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Rivard and Sarah Rivard (Thoune); his wife Judith Ann Seymour; and his siblings, Kenlyn Crane (Dick) and Frank.
He is survived by: his children, Debi Kurtz (Joe), Mary McCallum (Jeff) and Alan Rivard (Mae); his grandchildren, Joseph Kurtz, Kari Kurtz (Ashley), Joshua Kurtz (Christina), Jacob Kurtz, Faith Tarrant (Zennor), Hope Kurtz, Grace Kurtz, Kelli Catotal (Joe), Zachary McCallum and Angelica Rivard; his siblings, Ann Dressel, Marie Kakuk (John), Antoinette Erdman (Steve), Gary (Marie), Deacon Thomas (Betty) and Lloyd (Peggy "Shorty"); and his sister-in-law Janice Rivard. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren, many loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Anderson-Diehm Funeral Home (S218 US Hwy 41, Stephenson, MI 49887). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Precious Blood Catholic Church (304 Bluff St, Stephenson, MI 49887).
