It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William VanHese of Stephenson, Michigan, who passed away on February 27, 2026, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter VanHese and Evelyn VanHese (Ruleford); his brother Joe VanHese; and his grandson Dakota Haussman. He is survived by: his wife Maxine Prefontaine; his children, Alfonse VanHese, James VanHese (Pam), Maria Boye (Rick), Jennifer Otte (Scott), Sean Dilley (Heather), Jason Dilley (Traci), Brian VanHese (Rebecca) and Jake VanHese (Kim); and his sisters, Claire Turner (Al) and Mary VanHese (Diane). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.
