He was predeceased by: his parents, Clayton Schwalm and Helen Schwalm; and his brother James Schea. He is survived by: his sister Marilyn Kay Martin (Michael); his son Michael Schwalm (Danielle); his grandchildren, Archer and Beckham Schwalm; his nieces and nephews, James Martin (Amy), Cameron Schea and Austin Schea (Chelstin); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Claire Schea, Clayton Schea, Thomas Martin and Kaitlyn Martin.

In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated to the National Association of Mental Illness in Al's memory.
