He is survived by: his wife Patricia Mathis (Georgia); his children, Deborah "Debbie" Buck (Dale Sr.) and James Mathis (Sheila); his daughter-in-law Sheilagh Mathis; his grandchildren, Patricia Buck, Amy Mathis (Alexander Kwapis), Katy Donovan (David) and Dale Buck Jr.; and his great grandchildren, Dylan Buck, Delilah Buck and Keira Donovan.
