He is survived by : his wife Diane; his son Jeffrey Diehl (Michelle); his grandchildren, Ryan Diehl (Abigail), Morgan Diehl, Carter Diehl and Alexis Diehl; his stepgrandchildren, Charlie, Tony and Sarah Morgan; his siblings, Richard Diehl (Carol), James Diehl (Darlene) and Kathy Meissner (Chuck); and his sister-in-law Sharon Diehl.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc. (54880 Van Dyke, Shelby Township, MI 48316). A rosary was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Anastasia Roman Catholic Church (4571 John R Rd, Troy, MI 48085). A burial was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 12:00 PM.
