We announce the death of George William Sutter of Sterling Heights, Michigan, who passed away on October 18, 2026, at the age of 93. George will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his wife Mary; his parents, Leo Sutter and Agatha Sutter; and his siblings, Betty, Leon Sutter, Bob Sutter (Marion), Rosemary Hakkinen, Dorothy Duffy (Paul), John, Jim Sutter (Rita), Eugene Sutter (Lois), Rita Groesbeck, Jerry Sutter (Barbara), Thomas Sutter, Mary Louzen, Ralph Sutter and Ronald Sutter.
He is survived by: his children, Roberta LaPonse, Leon Sutter (Maria), Donald Sutter and Teresa Loman (Daniel); his siblings, William Sutter (Phoebe), Marcella McCabe (Patrick) and Daniel Sutter (Ardith); his sister-in-law Ginny Sutter; and his grandchildren, Melissa, Jeremy, Jessica, Christine of Sydney, TJ, Nathan and Zachary. He is also survived by his children and grandchildren.
A rosary will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM and at 7:00 PM. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wujek - Calcaterra & Sons (36900 Schoenherr Rd, Sterling Heights, MI 48312). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM and at 11:00 AM.
