James Richard Olson Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Richard Olson of Sterling Heights, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 16, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Olson and Mary Olson; his son David Olson; and his brothers, Joe and Henry Olson.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Olson; his children, James (Jenny), Susan and Sherry (Brian); his grandchildren, Daniel, Joanna (Eddie), Stephen (Katelind), Whitney (Jeff), David (Lauren), Thomas, Michael (Jasmine), Rachel (Joey), Megan and Nicole; his great grandchildren, Savannah, Brody, Louisa, Maisy, Theo, Jeffrey, David James, Lena and Silas; his siblings, Jacquie and John; and his extended family, Mike, Kim, Carmen, Rommel, Brad and Emily. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in James' memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
