It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Anthony Saenz of Sterling Heights, Michigan, who passed away on January 10, 2026, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Saenz and Nora Saenz; and his sisters, Virginia Yagley, Lucille Ward and Dorothy Cooper.
He is survived by: his spouse Gail Saenz; his sons, John W. Saenz (Nozomi) and Gregory Saenz; his grandchildren, Johnny, Benjamin, Samantha, Charlotte, Jaden and Mason; and his sister Delores Jasinski. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 16th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, January 17th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons - Shelby Township (54880 Van Dyke, Shelby Township, MI 48316). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society.
