He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Carole; his children, Richard Schummer (Therese), Lisa Ciraulo (Gandolfo) and Michael Schummer; his great grandchildren, Audrey, Theo and Kacey; his parents, Harry Schummer and Kathleen; his father-in-law Richard Holden (late Josephine); and his siblings, Al Schummer, Carolyn DiComo (late Don) and Robert Schummer.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons - Shelby Township (54880 Van Dyke, Shelby Township, MI 48316). A prayer will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. The lying in state will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Kieran Church (53600 Mound Rd, Shelby Twp, MI 48316). A Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
