He was predeceased by: his sisters, Maria Providenza, Elizabetta, Anna (Domenico) and Bartolo (Sam); and his parents, Girolamo and Providenza.

He is survived by: his wife Caterina (Numerosi); his children, Francesca Lipari (Vincenzo), Girolamo "Jerry" Grillo (Janine), Daniela Baird and Sammy Grillo (Tonya); his grandchildren, Maria (Marc), Michael (Rose), Anthony (Emily), Vincent, Sebastian (Jillian), Joe, Silvio, Sonjia, Christian and Lipari; and his siblings, Antonino, Andrea, Grace, Joe, Angelo and Domenico.

Visitation was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons (54880 Van Dyke, Shelby Township, MI 48316). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church (21 Mile Rd, Michigan). A Mass was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
