Valerie M. Kenney Obituary

The passing of Valerie M. Kenney of Sterling Heights, Michigan leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on July 27, 2025. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilfred Jacques and Audrey Jacques; her brothers, Frank and John Jacques; her in-laws, John and Shirley Kenney; and her sister-in-law Katherine Seaser.

She is survived by: her husband Patrick Kenney; her children, Michelle Kenney (Trace Benson) of New Castle, CO and Allison Kenney (Kyle Sullivan) of Dublin, OH; her grandchildren, Madison, Gemma Benson and Mackenzie Sullivan; her siblings, Lana Perkins (Wayne), Lynn Smith (Richard), Carol Jeffrey (Bruce) and Thomas Jacques (Jennifer); her sister-in-law Julia Jacques; her extended family, Chuck Kenney (Judy) and Paul Seaser; her siblings' children, Nicole, Renee, Rochelle, Leslie (Julian), Robin (Chris), Lori (Maciej), Audra, Aliah, Kristin (Andrea), Kara (Frank), Olivia, O'ndre (Katherine), Jeffrey, Alexander (Megan), Thomas, Ryan (Priya) and Andrew (Stacie); and her friends, Anita Werner, Lija Floria and Liz Book.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Peter Catholic Church (95 Market St, Mt Clemens, MI 48043). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Memorial contributions may be made to a Catholic church or organization to have Masses said in Valerie's name, to Michigan Palliative & Hospice Care of Farmington Hills, MI, or to the Colorectal Cancer Alliance (colorectalcancer.org), supporting research and awareness.
