He was predeceased by: his wife Laura; his children, Marilynn Cole (William), Joseph (Jean), James (Shelly), Robert (Michele) and Walter Jr. (Christine); his parents, August and Teofila; his brother Edward; and his stepsiblings, Helen Marvin (Ty) and Adolph.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Mads (Kara Ballenger), Meagan, Marlaina Trevino (Issac), Keith (Jessica), Kevin (Abbee), Jay (Amber), Lauren Villaluz (Ben), Andrew (Sarah), Joseph (Tess Kilian) and Kate; and his great grandchildren, Michaline, Mirek, Jude, Ace, Eloise, Brooks, Zoe and Josephine.
A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the St. Blase Church (12151 15 Mile Rd, Sterling Heights, MI 48312). A Mass will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location.
