With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Winnie Joann Allen of Sterling Heights, Michigan, who passed away on January 8, 2026 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Winnie farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Winnie is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Donald; her children, Brian Allen and Karen Wrobel; her grandchildren, Rachelle Tonissen (Andy), Nathan Wrobel and Evan Wrobel; her great grandchildren, Ellie and Eva Tonissen; and her sister Mary Hopkins (late William).
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 19th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Wujek - Calcaterra & Sons (36900 Schoenherr Rd, Sterling Heights, MI 48312). A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Family would like donations made to the American Red Cross and ARC Services of Macomb Inc.
