Janet Cousins Obituary
Janet Cousins, formerly from Sterling Michigan, age 73, passed away on November 8, 2025, after a courageous battle with a rare form of endometrial cancer. Born on July 23, 1952, in Bay City Michigan, Janet spent much of her life in South Florida, where she cultivated her love for art, animals, and living life on her own terms.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard Cousins and Laura (Airoldi) Prohaska. Janet is survived by her children, Tammy Moll and Paul Beaudrie; her grandchildren Steven Broaddus, Madaline Feine, Sierra Zawacki, Sophia, Riley, Preston, Emmalyn Beaudrie; and three greatgrandchildren. She also leaves behind her devoted sisters, Linda Gilbert and Debra Prohaska.
An artist at heart, Janet had a deep appreciation for beauty in all its forms – especially in the elegance of Venice Italy and the serenity of Castle Miramare in Trieste, where she created lasting memories with her sisters.
Her love for animals, particularly cats was unwavering, and she remained young at heart throughout her life.
In keeping with her wishes, Janet will be cremated and her ashes returned to Castle Miramare, a place that had deep meaning to her.
To honor her memory, the family asks that donations be made to a local pet rescue in her name, a tribute as loving and generous as she was.
