Judith F. Senske Obituary

Judith Frances (Courier) Senske, known lovingly as Judy, passed away unexpectedly on May 28, 2026, in Sterling, Michigan, at the age of 83.

Judy was born on December 4, 1942, in Bay City, Michigan, to the late Kenneth and Wanda (Rokosz) Courier. She grew up with the values of hard work, family, and kindness that would remain with her throughout her life. A proud graduate of St. Michael's High School in Pinconning, Michigan, Judy carried herself with quiet strength and a steady spirit that earned the respect of all who knew her.

On her journey through life, Judy built a lasting partnership with her husband, Paul Senske. They were married in Sterling in 1975 and shared 47 devoted years together until his death. Their marriage was marked by love, loyalty, and a shared commitment to building a life side by side. Together, they worked as owner-operators of their business, Up North Structures, where they designed and built log homes also landscaping the land. Judy worked closely with Paul in every aspect of the business, including operating heavy equipment, and she took great pride in the work they accomplished together. Her dedication, intelligence, and practical skill were evident in all she did.

Judy was a loving mother to Gary Gorske and Carrianne Gorske. She was a proud grandmother to Justin (fiancé Kaleigh) Gorske and Heidi Gorske, and she treasured her great-grandson, Leif Gorske. Her family was the center of her world, and she found great joy in the generations that followed her. She is also survived by her siblings, Jerry (Janet Schaefer) Courier, Louise (Don) Field, Don (Jan) Courier and Donna (Craig) Valley. The bonds she shared with her family were deep and enduring, and her presence will be remembered with love and gratitude.

Judy lived a life filled with simple pleasures and meaningful routines. She loved gardening and took great pride in creating beautiful gardens. She found peace and happiness in the care of flowers, plants, and the beauty of the outdoors. For almost every year for 30 years, she enjoyed driving to Kissimmee, Florida, and the recent years with her daughter, a tradition that brought her many cherished memories. She also looked forward to her weekly card game and the occasional trip to the casino, where her competitive spirit and enjoyment of companionship were always present.

Those who knew Judy would remember her as generous, wise, and intelligent. She had a thoughtful nature and a steady presence that brought comfort to those around her. She was the kind of person who gave freely of herself, offered sound advice, and met life with a clear mind and a kind heart. Her family and friends will remember her for her strength, her humor, and the love she gave so naturally.

Judy's life was one of devotion, hard work, and love for family. She leaves behind a legacy of perseverance, warmth, and quiet grace. Though her presence will be deeply missed, the memories she created and the example she set will remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
