He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Sr. Schadler and Wilma Schadler; his brother-in-law Joe Klupp; and his in-laws, Max and Genny Corwin.

He is survived by: his wife Jan Schadler; his children, Tammy Pallett (Tim) and Scott Schadler (Michelle); his grandchildren, Cassie Pallett (Justin Reed), Analiese Schadler (Ryan Ostern) and Jared Schadler; his great grandchild Graham Ostern; his sisters, Barbara Horton (Gary) and Leona Klupp; his goddaughter Joann Klupp; his siblings-in-law, Jim and Judy Priebe; and his uncle Ben Seely. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorials can be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Stevensville and Corewell Hospice.
