He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernst Schroeder and Maria Schroeder; his siblings, Allen Schroeder (Jeanette), Elmer Schroeder (Renee), Delores Knaak (Fred), Eleanor Tate and Edith Noack (Charles); and his pet Cody.
He is survived by: his wife Marilynne Menchinger; his children, Michael Schroeder of Buchanan and Kristine Olson (Michael) of Kalamazoo; his grandchildren, Jacob Vigansky (Karli), Jacilynne Witt (Matt), Jennaka Burns (Nick), Eric and Nathan Schroeder; and his great grandchildren, Aubrie, Kendra, Teagan, Xander Witt, Ben, Braxton Vigansky, Ellamarie, Zaine and Ryeder Burns. He is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Starks & Menchinger Chapel (2650 Niles Rd, St Joseph, MI 49085). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
