She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorothy May Van Deventer (Stoddard) and Ralph E. Van Deventer; her brothers, Donald L. and Edward C. Van Deventer; and her former husband David B. Kirby.
She is survived by: her children, Sarah A. V. Kirby and Evan D. Kirby (Mary); her granddaughter Molly K. Kirby; and her sister Mary Lou Van Deventer (Dan Knapp).
