With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Melba Avery in Stevensville, Michigan, born in Bradford, Arkansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 3, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernice Rains and Opal Rains; her husband Chuck; and her siblings, Wilma Rains, Wanda Schmaltz, Bud Rains and Levon Rains.
She is survived by: her children, Rhonda Hildebrand (Brad), Karen Sager (Jeff) and Charles Jr. "Chip" Avery (Mary Beth); her grandchildren, Brad Hildebrand, Jr., Maggie Garcia (Gabe), Tracey Szurley (David), Samantha Rafanan (Jessica), Evan Sager, Colleen Avery and Charlie Avery; and her nieces, Lana Allan (Dan), Donita Smith and Char Klotz. She is also survived by seventeen great grandchildren.
