He was predeceased by: his parents, John Book and Beverly Book (Pemble); Beverly (Pemble). He is survived by: his wife Donna Louise Book (Chitty) of Stevensville; his brother Robert Book (Karen) of Saint Joseph, Michigan; his children, Jennifer Soper (Mark) of Saint Joseph, Michigan, Jonathan Book (Kimberly) of Holland, Michigan and Julie Spitters of Aubrey, Texas.; his grandchildren, Kelsey Bowen (Kyle) of Allendale, Michigan, Austin Book (Imad) of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Maitland Spitters (Morgan) of Anchorage, Alaska, Braden Book (Lisa) of Grandville, Michigan, Adaline Brutke (Jack) of Frisco, Texas, Emily Book of Holland, Michigan, Laiah Spitters of Aubrey, Texas, Luke Soper of Stevensville, Michigan and Jackson Soper of Stevensville, Michigan; and his great grandchildren, Peyton Bowen and Lauren Bowen.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Church of God (2627 Niles Ave, St Joseph, MI 49085). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made in Dick's honor to First Church of God in St. Joseph, Michigan, or the American Heart Association.
