He was predeceased by: his father Bernard Ekema; and his sister-in-law Kristy Ekema. He is survived by: his mother Clarissa Ekema (Razenberg); and his siblings, Leslie Ekema, Kathy First (Randal) and Dale Ekema (Juliana). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
