He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent McIlhargie and Avis McIlhargie (Kelly); and his brothers, Michael F. McIlhargie and Daniel J. McIlhargie. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen McIlhargie; his sons, Robert V. McIlhargie Jr. and Brian P. McIlhargie (Julie Reddig); and his grandchildren, Quinn B. McIlhargie and Colin J. McIlhargie.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 22nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Starks & Menchinger Chapel (2650 Niles Rd, St Joseph, MI 49085). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, December 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Starks & Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Service (2650 Niles Rd, St Joseph, MI 49085).
