We announce the death of Robert Carl Szygielski of Stevensville, Michigan, who passed away on August 17, 2026, at the age of 94. Robert will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Nick Szygielski and Antoinette Szygielski (Matkowski); his former wife Barbara Jean Szygielski (Langer); his siblings, Bruno Szygielski, Frank Szygielski and Stephanie Vusich; his son Robert Szygielski; and his stepson Jeffrey Spear.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Szygielski (Zech) of Stevensville; his daughter Susan Carol Szygielski Dandino of Florida; and his stepsons, Brian Spear (Debbie) of Eau Claire, Michael Spear (Christine) of Benton Harbor and Daniel Spear of Buchanan. He is also survived by 10 grand-children, 16 great grand-children and numerous nieces and nephews.
Those wishing to pay tribute may make a donation to the local Veterans Administration in his name.
