She was predeceased by: her parents, James Kavanagh and Patricia Kavanagh. She is survived by: her husband John C. "Jack" Caroen; her children, Scott Witgen (Kimberly) of Mesa, AZ, Melissa Hruska (John) of Lowell, MI and Terry Witgen (Noelle) of Rockford, MI; her stepchildren, Tina Brookhouse (Bruce) of Williamston, Rebecca Caroen-Smith of Stockbridge and Christopher Caroen (Tracy) of Pleasant Lake; and her sister Alice Piggot of Lansing. She is also survived by grandchildren; eight precious great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Stockbridge Area Emergency Services Authority (SAESA), in gratitude for their dedicated care and service.
