He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Sr. Cook and Hettie Cook (Bushong); his stepfather Melvin Curton Sr.; and his sister Linda Berry (Ron). He is survived by: his wife Betty Jean (Salyer); his children, Terry Wireman (George) of Stockbridge, Tammy Sanchez (Ken) of Stockbridge and Audra Salyer (Jamie) of Munith; his grandchildren, Malory Wireman, Kayla Fletcher (Curtis), James Wireman (Shane), Samantha Sanchez, Abbey Salyer and Gavin Salyer; his great grandchildren, Amelia and Bennie Fletcher; and his siblings, Judy Petoskey (Jon) of Pontiac, Barbara Petoskey (Warren) of Petoskey, Melvin Curton Jr. of Stockbridge and Brenda Meyer (Walt) of Pontiac.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Mackinder-Glenn Post #510 American Legion (830 S Clinton St, Stockbridge, MI 49285). A prayer will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Stockbridge Lions Club.
