He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Munson and Dorothy Munson (Lawson); his former wife Helen Siebenthal (Jaskowiak); his son Michael Munson; and his brothers, Richard Munson and William Munson.

He is survived by: his children, Mark A. Munson of Georgetown, Mary Munson of Klinger Lake and Tina Merrell (Luke) of Sturgis; his grandchildren, Emily, Michelle (Peter), Corrine and Michael Connor; his daughter-in-law Kristy Munson of Coral Springs, Florida; his sister Patricia Woltman (Steve) of Portland, Oregon; his nephews, Gregory Siebenthal (Cindy) of Coronado, Bryan Siebenthal (Karen) of Salem, Kevin Siebenthal (Pamela) of San Diego, Brent Siebenthal (Liz) of South Bend, Barrett Siebenthal of Bronson and Bradley Siebenthal (Debbie) of Plant City, Florida; his daughter-in-law Jacqueline Siebenthal of Escondido; and his stepson Jeffrey Siebenthal. He is also survived by several step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
