He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore H. Sandell and Dorothy L. Sandell (Hough); and his brother-in-law William Apps. He is survived by: his sisters, Susan Vetter of Fort Wayne, IN and Patricia Apps of Sturgis, MI; and his nieces and nephews, Jennifer Falkenstein (Randy) of Sturgis, MI, Lisa Vetter (Paul Siefert) of Fort Wayne, IN, Makia Holland, Thomas Vetter of Fort Wayne, IN and Marshall Scheetz (Rebecca) of Williamsburg, VA..
