He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl J. and Margaret Marks, Sr. (Adair); his sisters, Dorothy Lance, Doris King, Ruth Ann Bolander and Margaret Toth; and his half-sister Irene Shoup.
He is survived by: his children, Lori Bennett (Charles) of Sturgis and Kenneth Marks (Cheryl) of Elkhart, Indiana; his grandchildren, Shawna Klotz of Elkhart, Drew Marks of Kansas City and Chad Bennett of Sturgis; his great grandchild Fynley Klotz; his brother Frank Marks of Ohio; and his close friend Sharon Bowman of Sturgis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
