He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Lanning and Marguerite Lanning (Sherer); his wife Elizabeth Pappas; and his brother Daniel Lanning. He is survived by: his children, Dennis Lanning II (Debby) of Centreville, Crystal Houck (Michael) of Sturgis and Jeffery Lanning of Sturgis; his grandchildren, Ashley Jordan of Elkhart, Jeremy, Dylan Houck of Sturgis and Tyler Lanning of Sturgis; and his friend Marilyn Saxman. He is also survived by 4 sisters, 3 brothers.
