She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd W. Butts and Grace Butts (Stansberry); her husband Lewis Carl Sowers; and her brothers, Ray Butt and Eugene Butt.
She is survived by: her children, Lois Hiemstra (Don), Melody Sowers and Terry Sowers (Mary); her grandchildren, Derek Hiemstra (Brenda), Jennifer Hiemstra, Trever Sowers and Daniel Sowers; her great grandchildren, Taylor Miller (Tyler) and Breckyn Hiemstra; and her great great grandchild Kinsley Miller.
