He was predeceased by: his parents, John Schwartz and Katie Schwartz (Wickey); and his siblings, Josephine Troyer, Merlin Schwartz and Marvin Schwartz.

He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Schwartz; his daughter Katrina Hasbrouck (Jim); his grandchildren, Ashley Mostrom (Deric), Douglas Hasbrouck, Matt Hasbrouck (Marissa) and Aiden Hasbrouck; his great grandchildren, Emery Mostrom of Sturgis and Casen Mostrom of Sturgis; his siblings, Esther Mast, Ony Keely and John Schwartz (Jan); and his siblings-in-law, Sandra Schwartz, Gerri Schwartz and Harry Troyer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Locust Grove Mennonite Church, Lake Area Christian School, or Gideon's International.
