He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard A. Hopkins and Irene I. Hopkins (Jellison). He is survived by: his wife Susan Elizabeth Smith; his sister Sandra K. Brueck (Craig) of Centreville; his niece Linsey Wolff (Jerome) of Sturgis; his nephew Ryan Brueck (Samantha) of Centreville; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Ella, Evelyn Wolff, Gavin and Lucas Brueck.
