He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry A. Niebling and Florence Niebling (Rung); his former wife Rosemary Heberle; his siblings, Mary Bernard, Ellen and Rev. Howard Niebling; and his son-in-law Jerry Weurding.

He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Gazlay (Young-MacDonald); his children, Carol Ann Weurding of South Lyon, MI, Nancy Ann Mroczkowski (Corky) of Grand Rapids, MI, Joanne "Dodie" Mieras (Jon) of Sturgis, MI and Jim Niebling (Kim) of Lake Odessa, MI.; his grandchildren, Kristen (Jason Phipps), Kerri (Matt Malik), Nick Mroczkowski (Sarah) of Chicago, IL, Dr. Megan (Piro Lito) and Sarah Ritchie (Webb) of Sanford, FL.; and his great grandchildren, Jack, Jayden Phipps, Anna, Aidan, Austin Malik, Cora, Sam Mroczkowski, Allison, Caitlin, Emily Ritchie, Alexandra and Elias Lito.
