James French Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James French of Sturgis, Michigan, who passed away on May 8, 2026 at the age of 52. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Peggy Heath and Darwin Woodman; and his sister Sharon Elaine Woodman. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth French of Sturgis; his children, Steven French of Sturgis, Jackie French of Indianapolis, Tim French (Sarah) of Kalamazoo and Rebecca French of Grand Rapids; his grandchildren, Owen, Jane and Sophia; and his siblings, Laura Soule (Steve) of Sturgis, Julie Webb of Colon, Jamie Palma of Florida, Cindy Woodman of Florida, Betty Jo French of Leonidas, Scott French (Laura) of Sturgis and Dennis French (Stephanie) of Kalamazoo. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
